Some students become proficient with basic BJJ techniques in just a few months. However, when it comes to transitioning from one position to another, movement is sometimes over-stated and robotic.
Our flow drill classes help students transition from one position to another by chaining together a series of movements designed to mimic real-world scenarios. The idea is to constantly move without attempting a submission. Done correctly, a 5-minute flow drill can feel like 30 minutes of non-stop sparring.
All drills are supervised. Take your time, focus on movement and leave your ego at home.
King of the Hill
This drill allows one person to work with several different partners in one training session. Basically, you stay in the drill as long as you continue to sweep your opponent or he loses a dominate position. Once swept, the next student in line will rotate in and you begin again, until there is only one student left.
This drill will help adjust your timing and sensitivity to different body types and strength levels.
This is where you get to test your skill and re-enforce the execution of techniques that you have learned in past classes against fully resisting opponents. Our instructors will pair you with different partners, ranging from beginners to advanced BJJ practitioners. Again, leave your ego at home.
